Date : Monday 24 September
Time : From 6pm.
Venue : University of Melbourne Law School, 185 Pelham St, Carlton VIC 3053

Join us for an evening with Professor Julian Webb from the University of Melbourne’s Networked Society Institute. In 2018, the NSI initiated the Regulating Automated Legal Advice Technologies project, and they have recently published their first discussion paper entitled the “Current State of Automated Legal Advice Tools“.

Professor Webb will discuss the automation of legal advice, including:

  • the practice settings in which Automated Legal Advice Tools (ALATs) are being adopted and issues regarding their effective management.
  • the legal, regulatory, and ethical risks and consequences, and how these will shape access to delivery of legal services.

The presentation will be followed by drinks and networking.

Please note, places are strictly limited with priority given to ALTA Members and Advocates – so join now!
